It snowed practically all day so the only thing to do was to go sledding of course! So Ariel, Steven, Thomas and our family went sledding! We went to Rock Canyon, Ariel and Steven only had two sleds so I took a tote lid and some trash bags they worked great! Atat and I went down the hill a couple times together!

10 Days
Atticus is 10 days old today and so had a check-up. We spent most of the day out running errands.
We got up at 6am, and were out the door by 6:30 heading to the US Embassy to get his passport done. We had been preparing for this since October, gathering the documents we would need to get it done. When we arrived today they only needed a couple documents and we were in and out in about 45 min. It felt good to get this finished!
We returned home for a short amount of time and then it was off again this time to the doctors. At the hospital they have a really good Indian food place that we ate at (one of the few meals I didn’t take pictures of :/ maybe next time).
We then headed to my Dr’s appointment. We were an hour early but they had us in within 15 min, the other times we had appointments we showed up 20-30 min early and it took them at least an hour to get us in?.
Up next was Atticus’ appointment, Thienchai carried Atticus all the way from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor, if you know him you know this is quite a feat. He generally doesn’t do anything physical. Once we found the doctors office we had to wait about a half hour, but again we were about an hour and a half early. Waiting was good though because we were able to feed Atticus. He took his first bottle! And he ate about 3 oz which sound like a lot to me for a 10 day old. He also had gained .77 lbs since birth, not including what he gained back from what he lost after birth.
On the way home it was raining so hard you could barely see the buildings on the far side of the highway.
Once we made it home Alex and Atticus we tuckered out and took a nap together.
One week
On Friday Atticus turned one week. What a week it was, made up of little moments to cherish forever.
Like the first time we saw him and Alex told me it was a boy!
Coming out of the recovery room and seeing my mother in law sleeping but waiting for me. She had driven us to the hospital and probably was only going on a few hours of sleep herself.
Getting to my room and having Alex, Thienchai and Alaina waiting. Seeing the pictures they had taken of him in the nursery.
Finally at 11 pm getting to hold and nurse my baby.
Over the next few days falling asleep when I nursed. We had a “training” meeting on how to wash your baby and I could not stay awake through it.
When the family came back the next day seeing their joy of getting to hold their first grand baby. (Thienchai
